Hemorrhage after birth?

Hi ladies, I’m about 4 weeks postpartum now and had a significant hemorrhage right after vaginal delivery. My question is, is 6 weeks still the recommended wait time for resuming exercise?

My office can’t get me in till I’m almost 8 weeks PP but me and hubby play CoEd volleyball & our first game is at about 6.5 weeks PP. My bleeding has for the most part stopped but I definitely don’t want to go through a hemorrhage again. I will call my office and ask my Dr, but wanted to hear some personal opinions too!
