What time to start pumping?

I believe I’m finally at a point with my supply where I can start pumping. What is the best time to do it? I know a lot of people say after the first morning feed, but my breasts are basically empty with his first feed (if that means the first feed where he stays awake afterwards) that’s usually about 7-8am. I’m wondering if it would be better to pump the last feed of the night about 9-10pm??

The best time to pump will be after a feed any time of day. If you do it the same time everyday you will build supply. You might not get a lot the first few times but give it time. Whenever works best time wise for you would probably be best just make sure it’s after you feed baby.

I pump after the morning feed and after the last nighttime feed. Also in the afternoon if he takes an unusually long nap.
