Insomnia and off work
Hi everyone. I have been having crazy insomnia for the past 6 weeks (pretty much since I conceived). I have had to take a few days off work over this time but it’s not gettting any better. I work full-time at a hotel in marketing/design and my GM won’t allow me to work one day a week from home. I am feeling the pressure to be at work (with minimal annual leave and sick days left) and sometimes only sleeping 2 hours a night (in these cases I cannot function at all) so I’ve decided that I’m not putting myself through it and have to take a sick day when that happens. I get really anxious when I’m tired and I’m really struggling with what to do. I am wide awake at 4am right now and have been awake since 12:30am. Only had 3 hours the night before. Have messaged my boss to say I won’t be going in. She knows I’m pregnant but I guess there’s only so much they can do. Am wondering whether I should just leave my job and do my own freelance thing. It’s so stressful, especially when money is so important right now. I tried Restavit the last two nights but it didn’t work. Am trying not to take any of my anxiety meds and it seems everything that I usually use to help sleep I’m not allowed. Lavender oil, medication etc. Any suggestions on how to move forward would be much appreciated xxx
