Depends on your area, the skill level you seek & what you expect out of them. Many photographers offer packages, products, CDs and all inclusive deals while some offer sitting fee +image rates. Here you can get them done from $50-$500 for a base session. As a photographer (not full time) I offered maternity sessions with 20 images on a disc for $150. That being said I am not a TOP photographer with awards. I have a friend in the field who charges $100 and you get 100 pictures. Another who starts at $300.

Just do a ton of research, find a style you love, research outfits on Pinterest, poses and locations. A photographer can only do so much if you choose poorly. So research, research, and research!
