What would your opinion be of a 17yo emancipated minor, living with her 18 yo bf and in a 24/7 D/s relationship? (let's assume the state has Romeo-Juliet laws). Bdsm strictly being practiced within the relationship. Would this be ’okay’?

I mean, anyone can do whatever they want. I would make sure to keep an eye on them, though, if they were my friends because at that age I hadn’t learned what a healthy relationship looks like yet, and adding BDSM (24/7 no less) to that complicates things.

I was emancipated at 17, too! I'd say just do what makes you happy. That's the most important thing. If 24/7 makes you happy, do it. If you want more a balance, do that. You can ease into it, or jump in all at once. Just make sure you have a safe word, boundaries, and BOTH of you know what is agreed upon and you don't do more than that. For example, if you aren't ok with knife play, make sure he knows, so he doesn't cross that line.
