Do you think I could have endometriosis?

I started my period when I was 15 and I’m 20 now. My periods have always been EXTREMELY horrible and painful for me so I decided to get on birth control and it still doesn’t help the issue. I get cramps and get sick the week before my period, the week of, and the week after so basically I’m in pain 75% of the time. I’ve never been checked for anything down there as far as like Pap smears or whatever they do for things like this. Everyone is saying it sounds like endometriosis and I’m hoping it’s not but what else could it be? Just bad periods?
