Newborn and sick older sibling

We came back from the hospital today. My older son got a virus with a high fever while staying with his aunt. He’s been sick since Wednesday. During my stay at the hospital I did not let him come visit even though my heart broke, but obviously one sick child is better than having multiple plus a newborn.

Now that I am home is it safe for him to be around his newborn brother or should he stay away completely (obviously he’s not breathing down his face just being in the same room). The reason I’m asking is because I know that when you breastfeeding you pass antibodies through the milk.

Any advice?

My brother had the same virus that lasted for about 7 days.
