Me and my other half had a massive row the other night and we havent really spoken since. Basically we had agreed on babys name, he wanted to name our child after his parent who has passed, but we came to a compromise that his parents name would be a middle name as hes having the middle and last name and i wanted to have the fun of choosing a first name. For months we have been calling baby their name and my other half has been more than happy with it. The other day he got on the phone to his sister and afterwards he came in the bedroom and was like 'right we are now changing the name to this...' (his parents name) and i was like woah hold on a minute, we have already agreed on a name, thats what weve been calling the baby and why should we change it because clearly your sister has a problem with the name. He said well my family are expecting it to be a certain name and really thats how i want it to be to. I was like ummm, not being horrible, im the one carrying this baby, im the one thats financially supported the whole thing AND you because you cant work, your family dont even keep in contact from one month to the next, all i asked was could i please just have the first name but even then i picked it WITH you i have never told you how something is going to be ive always talked first.

Now its resulted in us not talking. I find it slightly unfair that im the mother and obviously my opinion matters the least. Ive done everything for this pregnancy whilst hes just sat back and enjoyed it all whilst ive also supported him. Now i have just afew weeks left until my c section and im completely stressed when i should be excited. Am i being wrong for wanting to stick to the first name or should i compromise more? I feel i compromise daily in lots of other ways for him already 😔
