Kay please hang in there for this one I need honest opinion on how to handle this...

Start by saying my mother in law has a horribly behaved dog. It was the way it was raised, like a baby. The dog barks at anything that moves , jumps on everyone that comes in / stays . Constantly hyper , in your face , knocks you over kind of dog .... she does not scold her dog if she does anything wrong. This dog has ran into my mother in law and has sprained her ankle / and full on knocked her on her ass multiple times ...

okay now the problem ...

We have a 3 year old toddler who does not like this dog. We have tried on multiple occasions to introduce the two but the dog will not leave her alone. We had gone over for thanksgiving dinner and I already didn’t want to go because of this dog. I knew my toddler would be screaming the whole time about the dog jumping on her.

We came through the door and sure enough she started. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and the dog almost knocks me over to get to my 3 year old.

My man says “put the dog in the kennel” and she replied with “ she lives here “.. I was honestly taken back by that comment ... so for the next hour we listened to my daughter screaming and this dog acting out.

Is it honestly wrong of me to decline this invitation next time?...im well aware the dog was there first but I’d love to have a family dinner with everyone without my kid and myself worried. Is it to much to ask to put the dog in the friggen kennel for an hour? How do I handle this ? I honestly don’t want to go over there anymore but that’s obviously not going to fly with my boyfriend ☹️
