Can your ovulation date change????

Question

I use this app on a daily basis. But when my period was a week late, I put in the first day of my period and my ovulation dates moved down a week!!!! 
 Is that true?! Does that happen?  We are trying to get pregnant, so my ovulation week changing it a big deal.

Well yea. You don’t have to ovulate the same day and especially with long cycles you should assume you O later in the cycle. We aren’t robots.

Yes it happens. Sometimes we ovulate at different times. Some months I ovulate on day 12. But usually it’s around day 16/17. This last time I thought I was going to ovulate on day 11, nope I actually ovulated on day 19.

It can definitely change. But just a heads up, the app is often off by a few days...I’d suggest using Ovulation tests too, because if you go solely on what the app says you’ll probably miss your ovulation

Oh yes it can for sure change! The app is just a guess! I highly recommend you start taking ovulation tests instead of depending on the app. Game changer! (I got some decently priced ones on amazon)

I agree with everyone else. If you truly want to pinpoint your ovulation date use opks. This month I ovulated about 5 days before the app predicted. Good luck!!
