Sex With My Boyfriend

I’m 16 and I have a boyfriend who treats me very well and is in no rush to have sex. He has however told me he wants to have sex but he will wait as long as i need. But, I feel ready to have sex. We have condoms, but i’m feeling conflicted because my mom refuses to give me any sort of talk regarding sex. What should i do?

EDIT: my mom and i have not talked about it since then, but i’ve looked things up and my boyfriend and i are very comfortable talking about sex.. and he is coming over today 😬
