Did I miss my ovulation window?

Hi guys! So my husband and I only started ttc in September and I thought to give opk a try this cycle because lots of you were saying on other posts that glow just predicts and your actual ovulation date could be before or after that predicted date. Anyhoo, according to glow I was supposed to ovulate on Sunday and Flo and fertility friend said Friday. We did the BD on Friday but couldn’t over the weekend, nor could I check if I were ovulating or not. Today is cd 16 and I took the test.. does this mean I missed my ovulation window?

You need to start testing before the apps say you ovulate. We can't tell if you missed it or if it's coming up.

Yes. If today is already day 16 in your cycle, you missed it. Best time to test is from day 10 to 18 if you have a normal 28 days cycle. Those tests don’t actually show if you’re ovulating though. The OPK only tests for LH levels. If you have a positive test result, it only means your LH levels are elevated and you’re most fertile. When you come across a test that is darker than the control line, you usually should be ovulating within 24-36 hours from that day. After that, your LH levels drop and you’ll get negative test results. 
I’ll give an example of my tests...

This is my most fertile day, Day 15. Which was yesterday. It’s darker than the control line and doesn’t get any darker than that. This means today I should be ovulating. Today though, my test was lighter and negative because of the drop in LH levels.
