Online teaching
So,this is a big debate in one of my Facebook pages for the online ESL Company I work for. I teach kids in China from ages 2-13 ESL online and the kids are in the comforts of their home and I'm in the comforts of mine. The classes are 25min long and are recorded by the company(for quality purpose and incidences) A lot of the younger kids ages 2-6 will sometimes take their tablets into the restroom with them if they have to go and the companies protocol on this scenario is too ignore and continue teaching. In the 2 yrs of me teaching I've had several students Do this and I'm completely unphased with them using the restroom and I've never seen anything inappropriate. Well today on facebook teachers are banning together stating they will not be teaching a student while he/she is using the restroom because if by accident a child's private is shown the teacher can get into legal issues because now it's considered child pornography because it is being recorded by the company...Im trying my best to stay neutral on this but I'm curious on what y'all think. Do you consider this child pornography and if an accident occurs on camera and a child is exposed whose at fault, the teacher or employer?
