When do you plan to announce?

I’m conflicted because I don’t feel a need to be secretive with close friends and family. I plan on nothing public till 12 weeks.  I just don’t know about everyone close. I want to tell but everyone says not to. 
What will you ladies be doing?

I announced at 7 weeks with all my pregnancies 😊 people tell you to wait in case something goes wrong but unfortunately that can happen at any time. If something did go wrong personally I would prefer knowing that people knew my baby had existed instead of it being a big horrible secret. But do whatever you feel comfortable with, this is your pregnancy and no one else’s!

I publicly announced at 13 weeks

We told our family and close friends right away because they knew we were doing IVF. Now 7 weeks and people at my work know too because I needed light duties for a few weeks. Trying to only tell people that I wouldn't mind telling about a miscarriage. But I'm a bad secret keeper!

We told our parents and siblings at 4 weeks the day we found out because 1) we were ecstatic (no one knew we were trying) and 2) we would want and need their support if anything were to happen. We then told our grandparents around 8 weeks. It’s hard to choose who to tell because they were all pretty upset they couldn’t blast it on the internet and tell everyone they knew, but my very first appointment wasn’t until 12 weeks and I have PCOS so was being cautious. We then told our aunts, cousins, etc. around 10 weeks and announced publicly at 12 weeks after the first ultrasound and seeing the heartbeat. Honestly, it’s up to you and your SO.

I remember following your journey through IUI Angie. I can’t believe you’re pregnant. I’m so happy for you. I am as well. 7.5 weeks. I have already shared with some people because a lot of people knew about my journey and asked me if each round was successful or not. It’s really did to keep news quiet. You do what feels right to you. 😊❤️

I announced at 14 weeks with my first and now I’ll be announcing at 20 weeks with my second

I regret not telling anyone about my first pregnancy because I had to go through the loss alone :( this time we will tell our families earlier (like 8 weeks maybe). We won’t tell the public until 4 or 5 months though.
