Do you think in our society we leave in too much in fear of pedophiles?

So I notice a lot on here people make arguments that you shouldn’t dress your child in this or that you shouldn’t post pictures of your children because “pedophiles are out there”. Of course child molestation and these behaviors should be taken VERY seriously and not overlooked, but I find it a bit of a stretch to limit your child to things because you are “protecting them from pedophiles”. I think the hysteria about pedophilia is rampant on glow in my opinion. This isn’t to say that we shouldn’t discuss or take seriously this topic, I’m just making the case that people are very extreme about how they think we as people should prevent it. Sadly pedophiles will always exist and it doesn’t matter if your child is dressed a certain way or not, it doesn’t matter if you post pictures of your child or not; those aren’t full proof or sound ways to prevent pedophiles from existing so I don’t understand them in the use of arguments.
