How long do you keep a bottle?

Okay ladies, I know the rule is after one hour of baby putting their mouth on the bottle you have to throw it away... but who really does that? 
Sometimes my baby girl wastes alot of formula and that stuff ain't cheap! 
I try not to make a big bottle and just make more if she's still hungry but that's annoying, too. 
So, I'm just wondering how long you keep a bottle?

No way am I throwing out formula after an hour. Honestly, you’re probably more at risk of getting ill if you have family members who drink directly from the milk jug ( 😡) but if my babe has 2oz left it gets put back in the fridge and if he wakes up two-four hours later he’ll get the old with some new added.

I’m guilty lol I’ll make a big bottle (of breastmilk) for night. My daughter usually eats every hour during the day though so the times during the day don’t really extend too long so she finishes it in the right timeframe the majority of the time. But if I feel like it’s been too long then I’ll get rid of it and start fresh. When my first was born she was a formula fed baby and I would put the bottle back in the fridge and then just reheat it again for her to finish it later on. But I never reheated more than once since formula goes bad way faster and collects bacteria much easier. I feel safe allowing breastmilk to sit out long since it’s got good bacteria and antibodies in it and my daughter wasn’t a preemie.

My LO is on super expensive Nutramigen. It's $40 for a can that lasts 5 days, so I try SUPER hard to not waste a drop. I try to mix up only what I think she'll eat and then will mix an ounce or two more if necessary. It's annoying but I can't afford to waste it. If she falls asleep and doesn't finish it though, I will discard the bottle after an hour. But it's never more than an ounce or so.

Oh geez lol I never heard that. I just read on the formula can it’s good two hours so I go by that and breast milk 4 hrs regardless if they put their mouth on it.
