Birth control questions

I recently went on birth control (the pill) and it made me so so sick, I stayed home from work and school for a week just throwing up and taking pain meds. My dad made me go off of it. I'm bleeding now again, like a period. Which is expected when I go off of it. But I started taking it to regulate and help with period pain. Do I go back on and suffer or do I just deal with the shitty periods?

And if I go back on...how would I go about that? I only took a week of them.
