Anyone else FREAKING about what labor will be like?

Question

And not even just labor but delivery and the first couple of days?
The contractions, the epidural process, the catheter, the ring of fire, the possibility of an episiotomy or tearing, the birth of the placenta, what the first poop and pee post baby feels like. Also the pain of breast feeding? 
Sometimes I wonder how I'm ever going to do this....

I was afraid with my first because I was naive and did zero research and read no books to prepare myself. It backfired and I had every intervention and a c section. 
This pregnancy I've been reading a lot to get more prepared. I'm also doing a natural birth. Reading does really help with fear and stuff.

I’m on my second and am not worried at all. I think half the fear is it being a pain no one can describe that is unknown to you; everything is just new as you’ve not experienced it before.
Just know that whatever happened, your mind protects you in strangely primal ways. I distinctly recall saying ow ow it burns when my daughter was crowning, but in my head I was so detached from it all. I realized I sounded like a cow mooing and literally started laughing out loud.
Labor and birth is weird. And everyone’s experience will be different.
For me epidural was the worst part. They botched mine and this time round I won’t be getting one. On the other hand I ended up having an episiotomy and it never bothered me at all pain wise. I never had an issue going to the bathroom either with pain and everyone talked that up so much.
Honestly you’ll forget it so fast once it’s over.

yo say that i’m freaking out is an understatement lol I got books about pregnancy but felt better about learning as I go though the books had some great information, im still not going to remember all of what to do or what to expect lol also refused to hear stories bc I don’t care to know I have anxiety so but no one wants to know the horrors or birthing it’s scary as it is 😩

i had all these worries too!! I had a 22 hour labor and had an epidural, i had a small tear, was only sore for about a week and it’s been 12 days! yes, the first few days are tough but remember, we are made for this!! everything will be okay mama! ❤️

I feel like the only one who is excited about birth and totally ready! Im using the bradley method so i think that had to do a lot with it but most women feel just like you and are not ready! you got this!

i’ve already experienced contractions when i had a miscarriage so i’m definitely gonna want an epidural if they get worse then that when i give birth to my son, i heard exercises help make labor easier so i make sure to stay active

I was freaked out. I had my little one sept 10 and the labor was actually great. The contractions got really intense so I got a epidural...no big deal at all. After the epidural I didn’t feel a thing but pressure when it came time to push. No pain at all. The placenta coming out was no big deal. I had to have stitches which I didn’t feel. The worst part was the recovery. I’d recommend keeping Tylenol in you around the clock and use ice packs those were life savers
