How were you fed as an infant vs how your children are fed - Did it affect your decision for how you wanted to feed your children?

This is not a debate over one being better because a fed baby is a happy baby. I’m just wondering how many people know how they were fed as an infant and if it affected how you wanted to feed your own babies.

My mom breastfed me for 3 months and said I “didn’t want it anymore” but I think no 3 month old baby is gonna just “refuse” breastmilk for no reason and starve themselves.. there was probably some underlying problem that she never got to the bottom of. I was her 4th child so idk. But my son is 17 months and still breastfeeding. I’m so happy I was able to bf and for so long.

I was breastfed for 3 months and my mom didn’t think I was getting enough so I was switched to formula.  I have breastfed both of mine cause I just can’t afford formula. Even with help from wic.

My mom breastfed me for 2 weeks until she got mastitis so bad it had to be surgically drained. From there until the age of one I ate donor breastmilk. I breastfed my daughter for 18 months and plan to breastfeed any future kids I may have.

My mom breastfed me for the first few months then switched over. I breastfed my daughter for 6 weeks. I wasn't able to produce enough milk for her and supplemented with formula. Made me very depressed. I decided to switch to formula for my well being.

I was both (my mother breastfed, but also supplemented with formula), but my daughter was only breastfed (NO formula) for 12 months! 🙌🏾

I was formula fed because my mom had to go back to work right away. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of time off with my little one so I'm still breastfeeding him at 7 months.

My mom attempted breastfeeding and didn't make it more than a few weeks, switched to formula. My first son I was not successful with nursing so I provided as much milk as I could until I dried up at 4 months. Baby #2 and the first few days before my milk came in i supplemented with formula, now he's 9 days old and exclusively getting breastmilk.
