Metronidazole during pregnancy?!

Dr prescribed me this for bv, I’m 15 weeks now. It’s the 500 mg take twice a day for 7 days. Anybody take this and baby be ok??? I’m worried about taking it. I know dr wouldn’t give it to me if safe I just want 2nd opinions. Pharmacist also said I should be fine & baby should be fine but she said since it falls into category b that there can be some risks with taking it but if I don’t take it there can be risks too. /:
