How soon after cesarean did you hold your baby?

I’m more than likely having a cesarean and am terrified. I first of all commend all mommies who have had one because it does not feel like an “easy way out” and so many foolish people say it is.

My question for now (which I’m sure there will be more leading up to birth) is how much time was there from the time they pulled baby out to the time you’re holding and nursing your newborn? If anyone can really remember, I’m sure it was a blur. Thanks in advance for answering.
