How long did it take you to feel better after your c section?

My husband goes back to work on Monday after a week of staying home with me and baby. I am so hoping I’ll be up for the challenge by then. Right now I still feel pretty crappy... I guess I just want to hear from others to be reassured there light at the end of this tunnel.

Walking definitely helps! If you aren’t walking around a lot, you should try. My nurse made me get up and walk the very next day and I hated it but in the long run I truly believe it’s what helped me heal so fast. I was going up and down the stairs with no pain within a week of coming home.

The next day I was feeling fine 🤷🏼‍♀️ I was up walking and moving like always , doctor told me most people get stitches but I had glue. Previously i had 2 tummy tucks in ‘16 and ‘17  and it felt exactly like.

I was sore but able to care for her after a week. Plant yourself on the couch and get comfy.

4-5 weeks I finally wasn't in significant pain. 6 weeks, I was a lot better. I didnt feel fully recovered till about 4 months post partum. 
I think the first 2-3 weeks were the worst for me.

I def felt better more at 3-4 weeks but I was able to function by a few days after.   Just didn’t do anything major.    
Husband only took off the time we where in the hospital and then 2 days after getting home.   Will prob be the same this round.

I had a friend that had a c-section and she said it took her almost a month to feel better but it takes a year for your c-section to heal. Take it easy mama. Just make sure you and that baby eat and pamper is changed. You need to rest.

Took a couple of weeks to not be sore but pretty much functional after a few days. 
I walked in the hospital a lot. Just be careful not to twist your abdomen when getting up and down, you’ll heal faster if you don’t pop any stitches.
