Does catheter removal hurt?

I had q csection nd there taking it out in the morning im scared does it hurt?

It's not comfortable but no pain. Peeing after the fact sucks though. You kinda forget how to pee and gotta retrain yourself

I didn't even feel mine being taken out and I'd gotten myself really worked up that it was going to be painful. Midwife came in and said they were going to take it out..prepares everything and is just talking away about the babies (I had twins) and then the next thing she says is "right let's help you sit up and then we will go for a walk in a half hour or so"
I looked up and said I wouldn't be able to go for a walk BC of the catheter and she told me she had already taken it out xD

I got it out it wasn’t bad just uncomfortable. But the walking today hurt more than yesterdays

You’ve been through the worse pain. The removal doesn’t hurt at all.

I didnt notice! And i expected it to hurt to pee after but it didnt at all!

Not at all. I had the regular catheter which came out just before pushing so I still had my epidural. However, I was straight cathed 3 times postpartum and I didn’t feel them going in or out.

None of the times I’ve ever had it removed have ever hurt. I’ve had one 5 times.
