Why do you stay at home instead of working?

.....Because when I was younger (19-20 y.o) I was selfish and stupid. I didn’t took college seriously, I didn’t care about my family, all I cared was for my passion - motorcycles. In 2014  that “passion” nearly killed me. I was so healthy, I had future in front of me, good career after college but I F^CKED IT UP. I became disabled at age of 20, now I cant even “GO” to college with my feet because I don’t have ankles, I need surgeries all the time. I stay in the hospital more than I stay at home

Because the money I would make working would go right back to child care and it wouldn’t be with it

With my step daughter there’s 5 kids a house a dog and cat and my husband. Between dr apt and school functions and my husband working Saturdays there’s no way we could do this with me working as well. Plus with my son having a dr apt once a week and my daughter once a month I doubt any job would have me lol

At the moment, because I’m on disability, which began following maternity leave so we haven’t found a daycare. My son gets hauled around to almost all of my medical appointments (unless I’m doing imaging or IV infusions).

I got fired right after I found out I was pregnant. I needed to leave a little early one day for an appointment, and my boss had a fit when I told her (about 2 weeks before the appointment, and I only needed to leave about a half hour early). It worked out well because I’ve been sick my whole pregnancy, and I planned on being a SAHM anyways.

It's cheaper for me to stay home and look after our child than pay for someone else to do it

Because if I was to work then by the time I pay for day care and everything else for 3 kids I wouldn’t have any money left lol

I do because I have a toddler and one on the way. I’m finishing up my bachelors degree online. It doesn’t make sense for me to pay for daycare to work a decent job instead of just being a SAHM until I graduate and can get a better paying job to make it more worth it. My hubby makes enough to support us and I get the opportunity to raise my kids while their young instead of putting them into daycare. I do miss working tho.
