First signs of labor?

What were your first signs of labor? I’m 39 weeks + 5 and I couldn’t sleep all night last night. I always have a little trouble sleeping but this was like up all night my mind just couldn’t rest. Came down stairs and I’ve started getting bad menstrual cramps with a tight belly. They don’t seem to last very long though.

I lost my plug at 39+5 -inconsistent contractions then water broke 2 days later and I had her at 40 weeks.

Just overly tired. I remember feeling contractions around 7pm but I thought they were Braxton Hicks. Keep in mind I had 3 kids & NEVER went into labor on my own so I didn’t know what it felt like. Around 9pm, they were getting painful & that’s when I woke my husband up. I said “We need to go, I think I’m bleeding.” I was wiping a pinkish fluid constantly. We had to drop our kids off Otw to the hospital and the hospital was 45 mins away. Pretty much as soon as we got there, I was sent up to L&D. The pinkish fluid was amniotic fluid apparently mixed with a little blood. Yea, I had her 43 minutes after admission. I wouldn’t have made it to the hospital if I didn’t see the pink. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve never personally gone into labor, but my sister swears hers started with diarrhea. She was pooping for 2 days then her water broke. Lol.

Start timing them. If they are consistently 5-10 minutes apart it’s worth a ring to your doctor
