FEVER?!

My son is 11 months old and this is his FIRST FEVER EVER. And I am freaking out. I’m a FTM and I’ve tried Tylenol but he’s had this fever since last night and I’m waiting for his doctor to call me back! Any advice is appreciated! His fever is 102.3.

If you can't get the fever to come down with tylenol or a cool bath you need to go to the ER. 102 and above is too high to wait on a Dr callback.

You can alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 4 hours. Tylenol didn’t work on my daughters fevers ever, but it did help the aching. I would try Motrin before going to the er.

Keep switching from Motrin to Tylenol every 2-4 hours and give them lots of fluids... remember babies run a lot warmer then we do so 102 is around 100.8-101 for us... my little one had a fever of 103.4 one time and her doctor went over all that with me and said if it doesn’t go down in a few days then that’s when you would need to worry but in my personal opinion I feel like the Motrin worked better

My son is 7 months and the night before last he woke up with a 102.5 fever. I brought him to the dr in the morning and they weren't concerned that I waited until they open. Give him some tylenol and a cool bath until you hear from them

Relax. Give Tylenol and if doesn’t come down at all then go to urgent care or er. My son got his first fever at 3 months. He’ll be fine.
