Anyone have any experience

With their newborn or very young baby having RSV? I took my 3 week old to doc today for a horrible cough that started yesterday. The doc said she can't guarantee it, but has a strong feeling it may develop into RSV by the weekend. She hopes its just a cold but there is a big chance it's more. She freaked me out by telling me what can happen and if she gets the slight bit worse, to head straight to ER. I am worried to death. I do have the owlet sensor on her which helps me feel a bit better. I was hoping for some positive stories from people with experience.
