Talking?

Question

How many words can your little one say? My son can say ‘Hi’ and ‘Mum’ as of right now. I read an article somewhere that a 15 month old should be able to say more than 5 words??

My son doesn't say much yet but we're raising him trilingual and I know multilingual kids speak later. And boys generally speak later than girls. 
So far he kinda says 2 words often but even then not always appropriately. But he clearly understands all languages.

My daughter oddly has a very large vocabulary. Saying mama and dada around 9m. Now saying 20+ words and making multiple animal sounds. She lacks in other areas though.

About 20 right now. Mama, dada, papa, nana, ball, dog, Jack, Bruce, bird, diaper, thank you, waffle, night night, bye bye, uh oh, ouch, hot, choo choo, done, snack, pumpkin, candy, bread... and I'm sure there are a few I'm missing. It's like a new word everyday right now.

He has said many words but nothing is part of his regular vocabulary. Mama, dada, car, hi, bye, up, outside, yummy yummy (for food), uh oh, no, stop, yes, ok. He honestly just says real words whenever he wants to. I used to worry that he was behind, but then I realized he is perfectly capable, just not interested most of the time.

Bye, mom, up, uh oh, whoa. 
She used to say dad but stopped and then does 6+ animal sounds. 
I would ask your doctor though, usually what you read is what is starting to be done at that age, but it's not really a concern until an older age like maybe 18 months.

None, and I am freaking out about it. But we have an appointment with his doctor next week so I plan on talking to her about it. I have done everything to get him to say a word, but nope. He makes great eye contact, laughs, interacts well, walks well, just doesn't talk.

My daughter says mum, dad, there, oh dear, don’t know, nose, high chair & about 15 animal noises. She’s just starting to try & copy words when you say them, if she’s in the right mood so I think her vocabulary will grow quite a lot in the next few weeks/ months. She said sister yesterday & again this morning when we were talking to my bump 💗

Mine doesn’t say any words just makes a bunch of sounds. Sometimes it sounds like he’s trying to repeat what I’m saying.

He says mama dada but definitely doesn’t call us that. The only definitive word he says is hi   Totally worried about it but the doctor said don’t worry till 18 months

Dog, cat, bird, daddy, mummy, baby, door, papa, pampa (pamper), bear, uh oh, bye bye, lata (later), there are a lot of others as well but she says those the most...she only started saying mummy last week 😆 she's been saying daddy for months now 🙈
