What would your wishes be? *read*

Question

I heard that when going into labor or maybe its a c-section ... you tell the drs and your husbands your wishes if anything was to go wrong. Ive seen a couple different views of save me vs save the baby
"I told the drs that if anything was to go wrong, to save me. There is not another me... we could grieve together and then eventually have more children. This doesnt mean i love my baby any less, but my other children need me, and my husband needs me." 
"I chose my baby. I knew that something could go wrong but i know my husband would be more than capable taking care of our baby. I cant live my life without her."

Save the baby. Her life isnt less important than mine and she deserves to live a life just like i did.

Had this exact conversation with my husband. It’s our 4th c-section and the older I get and closer to the day of the c-section I get super nervous: I guess having 3 kids his response was to save me being my other kids would need their mom as much as he would want his wife. It’s tough and I wish no one to ever be put in that situation. No decision is ever easy! I wish you the best.

Before kids, save baby. I could careless about myself. 
Now that I have kids. Save me because my son is barely gonna be 2 and he needs me. I couldn't imagine leaving him without a mother so young. 
But I would be so devastated to lose a baby as well. That's a tough choice.

It really depends on the person and situation. I say save me, even though it would be devastating I know my husband would never be able to handle three kids on his own; since no family really lives close and he works swing shift. 
Also, my other two children need me.

Depends on when you asked. If you had asked before I had my daughter, I would’ve said save the baby. But now that I have her, I’d say save me. She needs me now.

Hubby has told me time and time again that my life over baby's and I get that and I am ok with that

I choose save myself. I have another daughter who will be 18 months at the time my second is due and my husband would be totally lost looking after a toddler and a newborn, he would have to leave his job which provides our accomodation so he would have no income and be homeless. We would be absolutely devastated to lose our second child but my first and the second would have very little quality of life if I was to not make it.

My husband says he’d save me. Myself, I’d save my baby. Idk. It’s confusing and I should probably save myself coz I have four other kids. My oldest could probably manage without me (he’s almost 15) but my daughters are 6, 4, & 1.

If they felt confident that they could save the baby, that’s what I’d want them to do. I’ve lost a child. I couldn’t make the conscious decision to do that again.
