Wake/funeral while pregnant?

Question

I have heard old wives tales that it is bad luck to attend a wake or funeral while pregnant. Just looking for some reassurance from those of you who have attended and everything turned out fine. My friend's sister passed, so I really feel like I should go, but have had three prior losses so I don't want to jinx anything.
UPDATE: Thank you all for sharing your experiences and reassuring me. I decided to go and I am glad I did as my friend was grateful to see me. 
Last ultrasound was at 8 weeks and everything looked great. Baby had a heart rate of 160. We have another ultrasound scheduled for next Monday, hoping that everything will still look great. I guess it's just one of those things where you don't want to believe in it, but then there's always the "what if it's true."

Just superstition. Was in my third trimester with my first when my step grandmother died. Drove 4 hours there and back in the same day and no issues. He’s a healthy almost 18 month old 😊

I Attended Two During My First Pregnancy , One When I Was 3 Months & Another A Day Before My First Original Due Date & I Even Asked My Dr To Be For Sure & He Told Me As Long As I Was Feeling Okay Then Im Okay To Go .... My Son Will Be 4 In March & Hes Perfectly Fine ! I Also Attended One While I Was Pregnant With My 4th Child & Hes Perfectly Fine Also ! Its Jus An Old Wives Tale / Superstition Thing That Some People Really Believe In ! Id Say Go !

I never knew this.. This is probably why people were staring at me 👀 My friend and I were both pregnant at the same time, she ended up going into very early labor around 20 something weeks, the baby was born and passed away the next day. I was conflicted about whether to go or not because I felt weird like damn she was pregnant with me just 2 days ago and now this has happened, idk how she’d feel about this what if me going and her seeing me makes things worse but that’s my close friend so I went and it was open casket which broke my heart completely. But so far my daughter has been fine, never knew this was a thing.

I think it's really up to you and how you want to support your friend. If you choose to go attend the wake/funeral try to keep it brief. In my culture, I would mourn from a distance and pregnant people are never expected to attend.

I’ll be 40 weeks on Thursday and my grandpa died just before I was 35 weeks. My little one is still doing just fine inside. A friend of mine lost her dad while she was a little over halfway through her pregnancy and her little one is over a year old now.
