What formula did you pick and why?

If your using formula at all for your baby what did you pick and why? I am pumping (really struggled with a latch) and using formula because he eats so much!! We started with Similac supplement bc that's what they gave him in the NICU,  then we switched to similar pro total comfort to help with gas. I still think he's super gassy and gets bad gas pain bubbles a lot to a point where he's inconsolable for a while. We ordered the windi for that hoping it helps. 
What formula did you pick? Did you like it? I keep trying to figure out if what I chose is okay, I have little info about any kinds and I know there are a lot of brands

Enfamil Gentlease 
We tried two types of similac but baby was super gassy. The gas dropped dramatically when switching to Enfamil

Similar Total Comfort. I used it with both of my girls and my 5 week old is doing great on it. No gas pains and she's pooping regularly. My pedi told me with my first to make sure I use Similac or Enfamil. (the big brands) She said that any other formula brand is basically just using the old, outdated recipes from similac and enfamil, and that they are not as nutritious or up to date as those big brands. 🤷

We use similac pro advance. The hospital recommended it because baby had slight jaundice and my breastmilk didn't come in yet. So to pass the bilirubin baby needs to poop. She gets half formula and half breastmilk.

We had to supplement as well because he wasn’t getting enough wet diapers at the hospital while I tried to BF. I pump and give formula as well. We started him on Similac Pro Advanced because that’s what the hospital gave us but he was soo gassy and fussy. He was constantly crying and screaming trying to pass gas or poop. We just switched to Similac Pro Sensitive today  so we will see how he does. Fingers crossed.

My baby is on breastmilk until i have to supplement due to my low supply but We are on 5th formula (Similac Alimentum) bcuz others he can’t stomach that he projectile vomiting to them and even was sent to the hospital for dehydration, we have tried, Neosure, Similac pro, enfamil gentlease, Enfamil prosobee and none of them work 😢 we’re on day 5 on Alimentum and so far so good 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I use enfamil liquid concentrate it’s like the ready to feed one they have at the hospital so far everything is good 
I was put on antibiotics so I couldn’t breastfeed but I’m building up my milk in the freezer so hopefully I can start feeding my baby with breastmilk

I started supplementing with similac pro total comfort, but it made her constipated, so I went out and got enfamil newborn, then moved onto enfamil gentlease 
Let me tell you. Life changing difference, she would scream for so long because she couldn’t pass gas. Nothing helped, we got the gentlease and by the next day she was passing gas much easier, sleeping better through the night, and have much more regular bowl movements. I know every baby is different. But I swear by it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Earths best sensitive. I used it with my daughter so just did the same with my son. I like that it’s organic and I can order bulk on amazon .

Gerber good start gentle because that’s what my little one likes and what she drank in the hospital.

With our son we used Similac Sensitive. He had problems pooping and he had reflux. He also was on gas drops. After 3 weeks I quit pumping because I was only producing 3 ounces and it wasn't enough for him. Plus with his other problems I literally had 45 minutes between feedings would begin.  - I just wasn't strong enough to continue. My daughter is on Gerber Soothe. She also just started medicine for silent reflux. She gets gas drops as well. Her bottles are a mix of formula and breast milk. She's only really gassy right before her next bottle.
