Help it’s my first time

This guy I’ve been spending time with asked if I was interested in a new experience. We haven’t done anything sexual just getting to know each other and today after our class together he asked if I knew or understood anything about D/s and I have heard a little but not fully aware. He just emailed me his list of Rules and punishments for not following instructions and told me the safe word. I’m really interested in trying this but I’m nervous to do it for the first time any suggestions
