Cramps early on?

I know that this is a typical symptom (according to the internet) but I have been having CRAZY cramps for a few weeks now. I never had anything this intense with my first! I am almost 8 weeks along, and no, I didn’t go see a doctor about them because I’ve had two miscarriages before so I just kind of figure if it happens again I let it happen then and we keep trying. My first appointment is in 2 days but wow! Anyone have/had pretty intense bouts of cramping early on and have a successful pregnancy? I didn’t even bother taking a test until last weekend because I felt so crampy I thought for sure I’d start bleeding. Feels just like a period! Anyone else?
