What type of dress for church

I am recently trying to become a member of the church to do that  I need to wear a dress. I don’t apparently have any dresses that are “fit for church”and I don’t even know what fit for church is. I usually just wear jeans and a dressy shirt but apparently i need more please help

Just a casual one around knee length would be fine from what I’ve observed in other churches. Due to needing a dress, is it Pentecostal?

Something casual, comfortable and slightly on the more modest scale. It DOES NOT have to be a turtle neck or anything. Just a regular dress, or a skirt and blouse will be just fine.

Depends on the church maybe see what the other ladies wear. Even in same denomination many time some churches are way more conservative than others.
