Shifting EDD?

So got an ultrasound yesterday and dated about a week to a few days behind what was estimated from LMP. 
Has this happened to anyone? 
It seems to match up with conceived date of conception.

With my first he measured about a week behind my LMP, but I had temped and that matched up almost exactly with when I thought I ovulated.
They go by LMP at first because it’s easier than trusting that everyone is correct on when they think they ovulated. But the ultrasound is pretty accurate, so once that’s done they will almost always adjust to reflect that. In your case, it probably means you ovulated later in the month than a stereotypical 28-day cycle would have had you at. So it’s nothing to worry about. 😊

And is your due date still 40 weeks from that date? Just curious because I have the same thing.. day 1 from ultrasound matches a possible ovulation date (2 weeks after my period date) and they still counted 40 weeks from there..
