So how do I book a room for delivery????

I am 33 week pregnant and still have no clue how to do anything I am a first time mom to be. I feel very alone because my doctor wont explain anything or tell me what I have to do and at this point I dont want him to deliver my child. How do I book a room ( private if I can). What are the steps i need to take and if u can give me advice.

Well where I live all rooms are private, but I didn’t have to book it, I got induced and the doctors office set everything up for me I just had to show up.

I delivered at 2 different hospitals. They both had private rooms. 1 required you to preregister, the other didn't. The one where you didn't need to preregister offered deluxe suites for extra $ but you basically ask when you get there and they'll put you if it's available, they don't hold it for you. 
Best thing is to call your preferred hospital and schedule a tour. You can ask then.

Where do you live? The hospital i delivered at had only private rooms. Also most hospitals have hospital tours of the labor and delivery floor. Probably you just have to call to set up a time to go on a tour. You also can preregister so you don’t have to do paper work when you actually are in labor.  if you go into labor then you just show up and have a baby. If you’re being induced your doctor tells you when to arrive. (This is all if you live in US)

Where I live you just go to L&D when you go into labour. You give birth in a private labour room or the OR. Then after I don’t know how long you will be moved to either a ward, semi private or private depending on what your covered for or willing to pay for. You usually only stay 24 hours as long as there are no complications with you or the baby.
