What is your toddler’s speech like now?

My daughter knows some words but doesn’t speak in sentences. She also clams up in public.

My son is odd he will say a word a lot for awhile then you will never hear it again. He doesn’t talk much still a lot of jibberish (we always say he speaks fluent Chinese haha) still no sentences and the words he does say are generally hard to understand. 
My friends daughter is like 5 months younger and she is talking significantly better but he is so much better with puzzles, problem solving,  things like that. I think they just focused on different skills and his talking will come.

We’re still at only a few single words. He talks constantly, I just don’t know what he’s saying 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not concerned, he improves all the time and he has so many other skills. He’ll also pick up a word, wear it out, and stop saying it, and he’s extra shy in public about talking. At home with me all day he says yes and no, he talks about what we’re doing and tries to repeat me, but god forbid another person is around, this kid goes mute 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

My daughter talks all.the.time, with anyone, about anything. I can’t even come close to counting how many words she knows (at least a thousand) ... 
but she only started walking 3.5 months ago 🤷🏼‍♀️

The longest sentance my son has said was "oh no car stuck" otherwise it's just  words on their own. He says about 30 words correctly and about 10 things he has his own words for (like bottle is a goodagoo) but still doesn't call me mama/mum 🙄. We're both dada but in different tones.

My daughter is speaking in full sentences. She has been at a daycare center since she was 3 months and I think this has been a huge help to her language development!

My girl was considered speech impaired at 18 months and has been in speech, but I just canceled therapy because she has improved so much. No sentences, but she can say "what's that" or "who's that" and things like that, which kinda counts.

My daughter only says a few words too, but she hears 3 different languages and my pediatrician said that its normal in her case. 🤷🏽‍♀️it concerns me anyway

Mine is the same as yours. He is starting to say short sentences like “I fast” but will not speak to anyone in public unless he’s super comfortable with them.

My little boy says maybe 40 words but is getting better/trying more the past week it seems. Also clams up in front of people for the most part. I think he excels in other areas though like running climbing, when asked to do specific things he understands and fulfills them which sometimes is shocking ha. Curious how our appt with him will go in a couple weeks hoping he has some speech improvement by then
