I think I’m losing this pregnancy.
Today is the 6th day of my missed period. I took a pregnancy test on Sunday and I got a faint positive on a Walmart cheapie. Later on that day, after holding my pee for over four hours, I took a FRER and got a slightly darker line. I contacted my doctor and he got back to me to say to call his office first thing Monday morning to schedule an appointment for lab work. I had a quantitive hCG and progesterone levels checked, and the test results for both came back low. My doctor said he assumed I ovulated later and was earlier in my pregnancy than he thought, but he wasn’t “optimistic” about my pregnancy. I asked if there was anything I could do to increase my low progesterone level, and he suggested 200mg of progesterone suppositories to take twice daily. I started taking the capsules vaginally the moment my husband walked through our front door with the prescription bottle in his hand. I decided to take one pregnancy test before bed (at around midnight) and another this morning when I woke up (at 6:30 am). There was a 6-hour hold between both tests. As you’ll notice from the photos, the test taken this morning is getting lighter. So I think this means I’m losing what I hoped would be our third child. Has anyone ever had similar results (with blood hCG + progesterone levels and faint positives) and gone on to have a successful pregnancy anyway? Please keep in mind that unless I implanted way later than predicted (by myself and this app), I would be several days past ovulation. I’m praying for a positive outcome, but it’s hard not to be discouraged.
