First time TTC and I got my BFP
I read everything I could about best practices for getting pregnant. So what did I do?
Meditation was the first thing. A month prior to TTC I started doing affirmations like: 'my body is producing 30 healthy zona pellucida.' 'On day 14 of my cycle I will release 1 healthy egg' 'my body knows how to get pregnant and will'
Then I changed my diet. I started taking 800mcg folic acid daily. I increased my iron and calcium with dark greens like spinach and 90% cocoa chocolate 😁
Exercise was important to keep my body healthy and moving. And I completely stopped all caffeine! Yes even coffee.
I didn't feel pregnant and I even told myself not to get my hopes up cause ya never know. I was waiting for my breasts to hurt and for morning sickness but nothing ever happened.
The week before my missed period I had a few pregnancy symptoms that I didn't read about. I had several stabbing pains in my uterine and cervical areas that I've never experienced before.
I was feeling really angry about everything and felt a sense of "rage" very uncommon for me. My husband noticed and I suggested it was a coping mechanism for the inevitable "not pregnant" which I got when I tested on the 9th, 4 days prior to AF start date (but now it looks like it was mood swings!)
So I prepared myself to start AF. I planned to get super bad period cramps, as usual, and counted that pimple as a period pimple. (I did however see more than 1 this time, where usually I just get 1 on my cheek.)
So day 1 of AF and nothing happened, day 2 and nothing happened. So morning of day 3 I took a test and by golly I got my BFP 😁
