Advice needed

Me and my husband have been off birth control for 2 years, we made this choice a year after I was to told it may be hard for me to conceive due to possible endometriosis complications. 2 months ago we decided to actively start trying. I knew it would probably be a long road, but my doctor said as long as I'm having periods, which I am, I'm ovulating

Well I'm not ovulating. I read it is possible to not ovulate and experience period symptoms. I dont know how long I should wait to consult a doctor or what to do. My imagination is going wild and my poor husband is suffering from my self diagnosis attempts ha. Anyways any advice or tips for sanity would be great!
