38 weeks and bad period cramp??

Question

Has anyone had any experience with this? I am exactly 38 weeks today and I have had major period cramps on and off all day. Has anyone had any experience with these type of cramps at this stage and can give a bit of insight to what is causing it?

I had bad period cramps the last few weeks of my pregnancy, I delivered 11-9! On my birthday lol 😂 
Could be a sign that the cervix is changing!

I’ve been having them for three weeks lol. My cervix was 2 cm and 80% effaced on Tuesday so I think they helped with that some

Yeah I’ve been getting them on and off for the last 3 weeks... since around 38 weeks. A few times I throught it was time but it went away. It’s def normal

It's early labor contractions! They will probably come and go for awhile.
