I can’t believe people

Secret

So there’s a trailer out for a new Marvel movie (it’s animated) starring Miles Morales. If y’all don’t know who Miles is, he’s a half black/half Mexican spiderman who takes over in a different universe of the comics when Peter dies.

Now, Miles has ALWAYS been half black/half Mexican. His character existed so people from different backgrounds can look up to a hero. It’s great he’s finally being brought to big media.

However, the amount of racism in the comments for the trailer is actually disgusting. So many people are upset he’s black, yet they’re all claiming they aren’t racist. 🙄🙄

I just want to know why people can’t grow up and accept you can be any race or sex and be a hero. A hero is just a hero. There’s no underlying guidelines saying they have to he white. I wish people would stop being so close minded and racist over something like a movie/character.

Also, there was no proper forum to post this to but I really needed to get this off my chest.
