Am i being selfish?

So my due date is Jan 2nd but baby's always measuring a week 1/2 ahead doctor even wanted to change it to December 20th, anyway I want to give birth around that time I will be 37 weeks I want to maybe do some stuff to make labor come faster. Ovbiously safe thing I want my baby healthy but I also don't want a HUGE baby ripping me open. He's 5.6lb as of right now measuring 34w4d and I'm only 32w1d. I'm not sure if I could even cheat my body into delivering early but idk if I'm being selfish for wanting him early

I wouldn’t do it. The estimate they give you is not always accurate..it’s just an estimate. My friends baby was estimated to be 9lbs at birth and he came out around 6.5. Let your baby bake as long as baby wants to because they need that.

They told me my first was gonna be 9 lbs. “He’s so big!” He measured two weeks ahead from 20 weeks on. He weigh 6lbs 1 oz at birth. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah the weight guesses can be off by 2lbs either way. 39 weeks is considered full term. And you can measure ahead with a boy or just holding more fluid. They thought my daughter would be low 7lbs and she came out 8.4lbs. So you never really know

My sister was induced for fear of baby being too big, he was born 5lbs 11oz. Sometimes it's best to just let nature take its course. That being said I totally understand not wanting to be ripped open and definitely fear that myself.

Every time someone asks about bringing about labor on this app it always seems to be a lot of tearing down of the OP for not letting nature do it’s thing and some sort of argument about castor oil. This is my first so I don’t have any suggestions. Do what’s best for you and baby and always consult your doctor.

If your body makes a big baby that typically means you can deliver a big baby. There is only  a tiny percent of (healthy) women who make babies that are too big for their bodies.

I wouldn’t do it but how are you 32+1 but your due date is January 2? I’m 32 and my due date is January 10 ? Was yours changed in the beginning or did you always have that date?
