How did you ladies like the nexplanon arm implant?

I'm thinking of getting it but nervous about all the side effects.

I hated the side effects but 3 years of worry free, extremely effective birth control was too good to get rid of, even if I did bleed for 6 months straight (and then had 15-25 day periods afterwards.) however, my best friend just got hers replaced last year because she loves it so much. She hasn’t had a single period. The only way to know for sure how your body will react to it is to try it, but if you’re like me and you want something damn near foolproof without any of the effort or planning of the pills, patches, or shots, it’s a fantastic option!

My sister and I got them in on the same day, she took hers out after three months terrible side effects! Everyone has different side effects, I kept mine in for three full years and debated weather to get another and decided to TTC. I loved it, I literally never had a period just some light spotting, no weight gain, and flawless skin for three years. If I ever go back on BC it is my first choice! I say it’s worth a shot and if you hate the way it makes you feel them you can get it removed. Be warned the removal is brutal but they numb you!!!

I’ve had it for 9 months and the only side effects I’ve experienced so far are spotting and not having a period (haven’t had on in 7 months which has been great)
A friend of mine got it and has just been bleeding, she bled for 2-3 weeks got a week off then started bleeding again
