Hubby sleeps in hospital room?

Question

I’m going in next Sunday night for an induction and will be staying 3 nights. Does the hubby usually stay the whole time? Is there usually a place for him to sleep? I’m not sure what to expect or what’s normal?!

Husband should stay the whole time but to each his own. Yes they will have a couch and pillows and blankets for him to use

My hospital has a Murphy bed for your support person to use. They provide a fitted sheet for it but no pillow or blanket.

I would say most places have a small couch or chair you can probably try and find pics of the rooms at the hospital your going to online or even call an ask I got to see when I did the hospital tour the labor and delivery had a couch that folds out into a bed and a recliner in the recovery room SO will stay with me but if he needs to leave to eat or something I’ll be fine

Husband usually does unless you have older kids and can’t find a babysitter or don’t have family willing to babysit then you can come up with something like my hubby and I are which try to have our two and three year old in the labor and delivery room but if that doesn’t work out we will FaceTime or use phones to call each other it’s going to be kind of lonely but I’m sure I can be strong

We have older kids as well so hubby will be in and out after baby is born. If all goes well we’ll get a 24 hour release though.

Our hospital has a big chair that turns into a cot. They give a blanket and pillow for him. He may or may not stay though since we have two toddlers as well. Hopefully he can at least stay one night.

Depends on your hospital where/what he’s sleep on. Some only have chairs. Did u not do a tour of ur birthing rooms? If so, def suggest it. Just call up there, they’ll let u come see one. This way you’ll know. My hubs stayed with me the while time 1st time. But he’s also 6’3” & it was super uncomfortable to sleep on the little couch. Yeah I know not as uncomfortable as pushing out a kid, but just saying. Go look at a room so u can get a good idea of what its like
