In school and pregnant?

Hi, ladies! I’m currently studying full-time for my master’s degree in an accelerated track (40-50 hours a week in classes, studying, training) and also TTC, but I also don’t want to take time off and delay my graduation. How long after giving birth did you go back to school?

Answer

I had my daughter during my last semester before I graduated. I felt the same as you, I didn’t want to put my education on hold but I didn’t want to wait to start a family either. I gave birth the second week of classes and was back the following week. I majored in Biology and couldn’t afford to miss more than a week of labs. I was off work on maternity leave for six months so I could just focus on the baby and school. It was for sure the hardest semester for me to get through especially because she had colic and acid reflux but it was all worth it. It’s definitely possible but you have to really want it!!
