Would you go to the doctor?

Question

If your 7 week old had a stuffy nose and small cough with no chest congestion for 5 days, would you go to the doctor? He has had no fever. Highest temp was 99.7 and was down to 97 within 30 minutes. 
My sister is a PICU nurse and says the doctors can’t give him anything unless it’s hurting his breathing or down in his chest. My mom is driving me crazy saying I should’ve taken him to the doctor already. We’ve had the humidifier running every day, used baby chest rub, nose sucker, saline. Its just not cleared up yet.

I’d keep baby home to avoid unnecessary exposure to germs at dr office and unnecessary medications . Your sister is right . Dr can’t do anything at this point.

My baby has had like this post nasal snort/“fake cough” for almost 2 weeks now. No fever ever. Her pediatrician thought at first she may have contracted a minor cold, but could also be totally normal because babies don’t really know what to do with extra mucus in their nasal passages. There’s not much to be done either way so we’ve just been watching her symptoms for worsening, but it just is what it is right now. We’ve been running the humidifier at night and then every few days putting a drop of saline drops (Little Remedies) in each nostril to hopefully help move it through. 
Trust your gut, momma. But also don’t let the over-reactors get in your head. 😉

I live right next to the doctor's so I'm always taking my baby last time it was conjunctivitis tho

My baby has like phlem and coughs every now and then and it’s just a normal
Dry cough and he fake coughs when he cries. but the dr said it’s normal for babies cause his nasal
Passages are small still. I’m a worrier. We have a humidifier we use every night and have nose Frida. The dr checked and said his chest wasn’t congested it was just the nose and he’s fine. If I were you I would just call the pediatrician and ask.
