Can’t afford a ring

My boyfriend just told me that he would Love to marry me, but he’s going through some financial issues, and can’t afford a ring right now. He started crying, it broke my heart 😢😢

What can I say about it???

We were talking about how the VA doesn’t pay for dental insurance and he needs a tooth taken out but of course out of pocket expenses would cost him around $600

I made the comment about is getting married so I could add him to my health insurance

He responded “I would love to but”

i was like but what?!

I can’t afford to but you a ring at the moment, and I fucken hate it because i want to give you one.

Months ago I had said that I would want a ring before we moved in, 2 months ago we moved in so I thought he had forgotten about it.

He went into the bathroom to 😢. It literally BROKE my heart.
