Any experience positive or negative please help

Hello ladies. So I had my dating scan yesterday and all seemed to have gone well. I received a call from my dr today stating that our pregnancy is actually a twin pregnancy! I was shocked we have no twins in either of our families! Unfortunately we were then told that baby A was measuring 9 weeks with a heart rate of 170 while baby B was only measuring 7 weeks and had no visible heartbeat. Though we only planned and hoped for the one baby being told that baby B is liking to be absorbed has shattered my heart. I know this is a common thing with twins but I was hoping to hear other people's stories. If the twin was absorbed how has your pregnancy gone since? Or is there still a possibility of baby B catching up?
