I am in absolute tears

My hubby bought me an engagement ring on my birthday

Well today we are closing the office and I take out the trash before I leave... The dumpster has a bar on it ( bad neighborhood) and when I go to open the lid the bar drops so it keeps the lid from closing all the way .. so I toss the bags in and I have to hold the lid up and pull a pin back to get the bar to release so the bar will come back up so I can close the lid... Well the bar comes up and the lid falls and smashed my hand and totally ruins my ring..

I am now sitting in my car crying... Lovely way to start the holidays
